An interesting news story about a near death experience

Here's a news story I just read. I believe some of it is true, but some is made up. That's me - I am not religious so I don't believe the part about Jesus and his Great Grandpa being an angel.

It was a pretty neat read. The way I look at it is any message of understanding, love and hope is a good one. The thing that's nice about this is it's from a small child so it will help people so they won't think it's a jaded reason that they're telling it.

Oh, absolutely. Little children are the wisest creatures on earth - far wiser than adults! LOL Most people are scared to die because of the unknown. I just think since his father is a minister that his telling of "heaven" is what he has been told since birth. I even remember being told that when you die you go to heaven and become an angel. The rest of it, I think, is truth.

That leads to the question - if what we know on the earth plane to be true, will we see or be welcomed by that truth? If that's the case, then his angels and angelic Grandpa were his truth , therefore real to him.
What do you guys think? I know this falls into the religious discussion category and I don't want to start a war. I think this is an interesting topic.

I think that part of the perception that the boy saw as a was what he was lead to believe due to religion as you said. I think that spirits whether alive or without a body make special efforts to tend to childrens happiness including showing them a "reality" that might not always be completely accurate. There are many holidays that reflect this even here on this side.

I believe that regardless of what your religion practices when you do get to the after life there is so much love, compassion, and a welcoming patience nature to it that no one ever reflects back and goes oh, damn! I picked the wrong religion.

I would think that religion of any sort would not exist in the afterlife. My Gramma was not a religious person. She had a friend late in her life who was a nun. Before my Gramma passed, she became a Catholic and had a Catholic funeral. I believe this was because she was afraid of what might lie ahead. She was a good person, so she would have passed into her heaven anyway.

My stepfather did the same thing, only he was "saved" in the Baptist Church (at age 80). His was based on fear of the unknown as well. His sister is extremely religious. Stepdad was definitely not religious prior to his becoming so very ill - he was a mostly good person, so he would have gone to his version of heaven too.

My Dad was Catholic, (not practicing for sure) but he was not a good person in this life. Yet, in his spirit form, he was right there waiting to talk to me beside my Grandparents and two young ancestors. So, that being said, it seems that being good or bad, religious or not makes no difference in the afterlife. I do believe in the love, compassion and patience of the afterlife. It should be practiced more here on the earth plane!

I certainly believe Colton, why would he lie about such things?

He's a handsome little lad too & I hope, when its actually his turn to pass over for good that his great-grampy & sister are there for him.

I hope he has a long & happy life.
