Sorry. I tried copying it, but it wouldn't cooperate. The bad weather was messing up my connection. Or, I am partially comp. illiterate (the most likely explanation). Rolling Eyes LOL

What do you mean even though you're on yahoo? you can host a picture here. look for this icon above where you post. Click it and put in the picture and it'll host it up for you Smile

This is like the last time I tried - it won't upload. Am I doing something wrong?

is it saved to your computer? Or is it hosted on another website? If it's hosted on another site you use this icon and put in the address

if it's on your computer you click and have them upload it to their free hosting site

It absolutely won't do it. I get the little screen, browse for my folder and hit host it. Then I hit upload - nothing. it goes back to little screen. I tried using the copy buttons and then upload, too. I've had it on my computer for a while.
I went to site, changed my password, and got the image uploaded, but now I don't know how to get it here.

Ok, I'll do a tutorial. Smile

steps to hosting a image:

Above where you post click the image that looks like this

Now you will get something that looks like this:

click file and choose the file. Click upload. When it's done uploading it will look something like this...

If you want a thumbnail of the photo (which is a mini-version that people can click on to view) then click the first box. If you want the full version click in the second box. Make sure it's fully highlighted. Next to it is a button that says copy. When I used the copy button it did NOT copy the code. So instead when it was highlighted I just right clicked my mouse and selected copy. Hitting ctrl-c will work too.

Click then in the box where you type and hit ctrl-v or right click your mouse and select paste. The code to show your picture should show up if you copied it from the previous step. It will look something like this:

[ url=https://servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=3&u=16277784 ][ img]https://i.servimg.com/u/f67/16/27/77/84/step310.jpg[ / img][ / url]

It wont have all the spaces in the bracket area. I added those so it wouldn't think it was another picture. Unfortunately the little window with the picture code does not go away until you refresh the page. DO NOT HIT REFRESH or you will loose what you've typed. However, if you hit the "Preview" button next to the send it will save what you have so far and it should show you the picture you uploaded.

If you have any problems let me know and I'll see if I can't help trouble shoot in more detail Smile

did you get the above response when trying to look at pictures we had here? or when you went to visit the other site? I just want to make sure you can see the pictures ok.

you're welcome for the tutorial. Smile Glad it's helped

as for getting the pic smaller. Do you mean the actual picture or do you mean putting a smaller version on here so people can "preview" the photo before seeing the whole thing?
