| I was looking for a cheese puff recipe online. I could not find one, but I had a large box of bisquit mix, shredded cheese in bags and eggs and milk. I used the waffle recipe on the box and just threw in the cheese and some fresh basil. I think it is a pound of shredded cheddar mix. Luckily my Mom had a bunch of mini muffin tins, so I sprayed them with nonstick spray, filled them all up and baked at 425 F. They turned out great, and we ended up using them as little yorkshire puddings with pot roast I had made. My Mom ate about ten of them with gravy poured on. My Mom never eats anything!
Just thought I would share.

| Oooo. That sounds really good! I love to create in the kitchen - I like to recreate restaurant recipies that we have liked. My Mom eats one or two bites of her food and tosses the rest. But, throw in something sweet and she's good. She lives off of sugar. At least she eats something her body can use. It's amazing how something new and different will get them to eat. You'll have to make that for her until she gets tired of it. | |

| Had no idea what the heck I was doing! OTB, when my friend came over to eat the kitchen looked like Pompeii after the volcano erupted. He had bought all the ingredients, so between the Food Network and and a Greek recipe, I finally got it done. I know someone was watching over me, 'cause even my Mom liked it!!! No wonder it takes at least 3 people to do it!!! | |

I think if ya make a big mess, it means you're a good cook! I love to cook, but hate to clean it up. I used to make and decorate cakes - talk about a mess! YIKES! Confectioner's sugar, food coloring, splatters from mixing everywhere. But the finished product was worth it. I made quite a bit of moola. It sounds like you had a good time in the kitchen that day. I made mousakka(?) once - hubby didn't like it, so I never made it again.

| It is all in using all the wrong ingredients improperly and making the bechamel sauce without the butter and substituting grated parmesan.. I used a lot of nutmeg, oregano, ground lamb and prayed a lot. Also, soaking the eggplant in a ton of salt helps. | |

Hey, whatever works!! LOL. Some of my experiments have turned out to be family favorites, and some things never taste the same way twice. I tend to remake recipies alot so I can use what I have on hand. Sometimes good, sometimes not so much. Oh well the fun is in the creating for me. Except for the lamb, it does sound good. I'm not a fan.

| I hate the little guys being killed, but I started working in a Jewish Nursing home when in my teens. I liked it a lot. At least Kosher Animals are done in humanely. The fat is the issue. If you get the fat off and marinate it, it is much better. The only thing you really can't cheat on is baking. You really have to measure everything. | |
