Well, since you all are talking about movies and book, I decided I'm gonna start talking about music... So HA!
;P
I have TONS of songs for you people to listen too!
Like, 30+.
Haaa.
Sharra knows what I'm talking about!
She'll be busy with her MP3 player forever.
You're welcome, hun.
Yes, I called her hun...
Deal with it.

Are we feeling a little PMSY today? I like the old -real rock from the late 60's - 70's, classical, and even some of my son's music! Apopolyptica, Stone Sour, Rise Against, Alice in Chains, Mumford and sons, Staind, Disturbed, God Smack, to name a few.
I like Irish stuff, too. I even like Spanish guitar. I can listen to big band music. Hate country. Fairly eclectic.

My son is 23 and his taste has changed quite a bit since he was 14. Although he does still like Slipknot. Try me - I might surprise you!

3 doors Down and Red Hot Chili Peppers I like, Jimmy Eat World I have heard, but can't recall them right off. The rest- ya lost me. But, I'm old enough to be your Mother (or your very young Grandmother), so that's to be expected. LOL I'm sure on our travels I will hear some of them.

They aren't popular songs.
Never played on the radio.
It's a shame.
Haha.

hehe I know a lot of the songs that you listed.
Ok as for me. I like anything and everything as long as its not country or religious. I can't stand whining in verbal or singing form. Nor do I like people to talk down to me so it kinda rules out those two.
Apopolyptica is a good band.
My mood for music in a day can go from Classical to Industrial to r&b to alternative to stuff like enya to heavy metal.
Lately I've been feasting on the industrial more than others though.
Here is a good one from VNV Nation. It's a mellow one of theirs.
Here's another 4 that are more traditional techno that aren't mainstream and are good in my opinion.
Wumpscut - Wreath of Barbs (I LOVE--let me reiterate that L-O-V-E!!! This band! I have yet to hear a song of theirs that I didn't like.)
Riot - Covenant This one's quality isnt the best but it's the only version of it I could find on youtube to link to here. If you can find it elsewhere it's better to listen there. I decided to replace this one with another band. The quality was so low that I didn't want to turn ya off the song due to the quality of the recording.
Schwerze Witwe - Eisbrecher (in German)
Oh my Goth! - Razed in black
Theatre of Tradegy (industrial/goth) -A rose for the dead I love this band if for no other reason then the differences of the woman singing and the man. Love it!
Then theres my techno/house music. These following ones are NOT for those who are minors. I will link them but I can guarantee if your parents hear you listening to these you'll be banned off the computer...Please note these do have sexual lyrics so please don't listen to them if you don't want to hear those things.
Jose Nunez - Bilingual
Lords of acid - Scrood by you
Lol..I had to actually relink the above song because there were topless women in the first link that I posted...woops! lol
Ok ok I'll stop linking songs..lol. I could go on and on with them. My favorite band of all time is Depeche Mode though. I have liked them since I was 9 and still do 20 years later. Damn good band! I'm sure some of you have heard of Depeche Mode. If you like them check out recoil. It's a band by a guy that worked with DM for a while.
-edit- I realised I left off KMFDM (later named MDFMK) They're old school techno as well. Fantastic band!

Wendy,
Don't give up... It's not that hard... You just need to get the hang of it.
Practice makes perfect!

I like a variety of music genres. Because of my parents I can appreciate the oldies of the 50's and 60's, even some 40's as well. The 40's channel was my choice of listening on my XM radio while I was at work today. There have been many people who have entered and left my life, but while they were here they introduced me to other styles of music such as the classic rock n roll of the 60's and 70's, Bob Seger, Janice Joplin, and many different christian bands like Third Day and Newsboys, and my husband introduced me to the Little River Band. My recent trip to Ireland certainly helped me to appreciate their traditional music. I think the only genre that I have never cared for would be rap, and heavy metal, maybe some new wave. My ears aren't very picky, but I do like what I like.
