| Has anyone else noticed that people in the United Kingdom, especially in England and Scotland seem to be more accepting of the paranormal than we do in the states. I wonder if it is because they have a much longer history of the paranormal .
Any thoughts? SC | |

| I believe that's absolutely right. They live with the spirits and histories of those who came before them as we do, but it is more"in your face" than our history is. In some places they are living in buildings that have been occupied for over a thousand years. We tore so much of ours down in the name of progress, or didn't recognize the need to preserve it. There has to be spirit activity around every turn. I sure would like to go the the UK for an extended visit. Can you imagine? | |

| hm, to be honest I haven't noticed any real difference. I speak with a fair few people from "both sides of the pond." My ex husband and a few of my boyfriends were English. All of them non believers. Even after having visions of some of their living rooms with real time astral travel I had them try to tell me it was all coincidence. I even told them down to the part of how their dog was laying on the floor. Oh well. lol
Maybe I just found a bad sample of people. It seems though, that about as many from everywhere I've spoken with over the years of online chatting are willing to think of the possibility. | |

| They say you can't swing stick without hitting some one who's seen a ghost over there. I do believe that it's more accepted probibly because everybody knows some one who's had an experience. | |

| I agree some cultures are more accepting than others, for instance the irish believe in fairies but they aren't the nice pretty ones we see in fairytales. I have been on a few UK discussion boards and boy, if you're gonna go there, where a helmet...they're rough.
