I'll go ahead and post the first bit Smile

My name is Angela. I'm 29 (30 soon, yay me! Razz lol) and from Utah. I'm happily divorced with two beautiful little girls. Ages 9 and 6. I have been able to see and communicate with spirits since I can remember. Although I still can see them it's a lot less frequent then it was when I was young. However, I have noticed lately that I do see more when my children aren't at home then when they are. This makes me wonder if I just dismiss them thinking it's my kids or if it's because I'm just too busy to slow down enough to notice what's staring me in the face. lol

I also have precognitive dreams and visions. I've done astral travel. Done spiritual healing, etc.

I, also, am spiritual but not religious. Meaning I dont follow a organized religion. I believe in reincarnation, karma, balances of forces/knowledge/etc.

Could write a lot more, but I dont want to bore you with a novel. lol. If you want to know anything feel free to ask. I don't offend easily and am happy to help.

Oh on a side note aside from paranormal stuff. I have experience with running big forums which is part of why I was marked as a mod here. If you have a problem with anyone on the forums please feel free to contact me and know I'll handle it discreetly and professionally.

Welcome OTB. Glad to see you made it here fine.

I like your avatar. It's a very cool place. I went there twice. Personally though I think Avebury is a lot cooler. The stones are older and there's more of them. Plus you can still go up and tough the stones. At Stonehenge you can't get by them anymore due to how many people go there and see it. Tons of energy at both though Smile

Hello all,

First and foremost I would like to thank Angela for inviting me to join this new group via GA (FB) discussion forum. Smile

My name is Susan, but I usually go by jackson. I am 37 and have 4 kiddos ages 11 to 4. From New Orleans, La., but now live in Houston. Not b/c of Katrina, I have been in Houston for almost 20 yrs.

I have always been interested in the Paranormal since a young child growing up in SoCal and then in NOLA. At the age of 2 I was able to see apparitions, but they didn't frighten me mostly b/c it was my family members that had passed on. I can't see them anymore, not since I was a child but def. can feel their presence etc. My children at times can see them or feel them, so they tell me. If it doesn't bother them, then it doesn't bother me.

I have had many paranormal experiences, some I sought out, some I didn't. I am Catholic, so technically I'm not suppose to conversing with the dead or seek them, but I do. Dont' tell the Vatican jk.

That's about it for now.

Thank you again for having me and looking forward to getting to know you all.
Cheers,
jackson

You sound like you have a lot of the same history as me. My oldest can see and sense them. I've yet to have my youngest mention anything about them. I sometimes wonder if she feels like the odd one out because she can't see them...now that's a new concept..being the odd ball because you don't see spirits! What a Face

hehe I wont tell and to be honest I dont see why it'd be a bad thing to have confirmation that there is a spiritual side. cyclops

Looking forward to hearing some of your experiences.

Welcome Very Happy

Hello.
My name is jean and i was following ya'll on the GA forum before it was shut down. Hate what happened there. Went to a couple of
more sites and the same thing was happening on them also.
I will be 57 this month. I am the mother of 4 kids, and grandmother to 5 so far. Full time caregiver to my mom, who has been living
with me for the last 3 almost 4 yrs. She is basically bed ridden.
I dont have any gifts or no experience with the paranormal at all so I will just have to be a cheer-er-on-er.That is if ya'll
still let me. Would love to hear more about the crystals and stones.

of course you're still welcome kurious! It's a lot of work to care after the aging. I used to work in a retirement facility. Mad respect to you for it.

I posted a little about stones on the old GA site and on the previous group we moved here from. I'll copy over my post a little later. I've got to head to class now Smile

Hi jean. Welcome to the group. Cheerer-on-ers are great! 5 grandkids - you are lucky. Enjoy. I take care of my mom, too. She's still in her home, but the time is getting closer to having to put her in a facility. She has vascular dementia, but is doing okay for now.

PostSubject: I put mine intro the wrong place.   Tue Feb 15, 2011 10:36 am

I put my intro in the wrong place, I see. LOL! Embarassed I am onetruebeliever. I live in Louisville, Ky. I will be married to my guy for - yikes! - 37 years in April. Time flies when you're having fun. I just turned 56. My boys are almost a full 10 years apart. The oldest is 33 and the youngest is 23.

I chose my name because I am a believer in spirits and all things paranormal. I am one of many believers. I am a believer in love and compassion as well. I have felt spirits since I was a child, but I was not allowed to explore my abilities. My youngest son and I have had experiences, especially active since October. I believe in reincarnation and all that goes with it.

I am married to a wonderful skeptic who accepts my beliefs, even though he thinks they are more than a little strange. LOL

I have two wonderful grown sons. My oldest son believed me when I told him we had a ghost, but that quickly changed when I told him we had a spirit cat, too! Now he thinks I'm just nuts. Rolling Eyes My youngest son is a sensitive who has seen and felt spirits since he was in grade school. He doesn't want much to do with our resident spirit though.

We have two of the cutest, sweetest dogs in the world! The oldest is 5 yr. old Bailey. She is a border collie/beagle mix. Very sassy and smart! Everyone is her friend. Hannah is 3. She is a greyhound/lab mix. This girl is quite skittish and bashful. But, she is a wonderful watch dog, too. Weighing in at 100 pounds, I would not want to mess with her!

We have no grandchildren yet. I won't hold my breath on that wish! LOL. We'll just spoil our dog babies rotten in the meantime.

Hi group, for the neecomers, I am southern Charm, I am 66 years old and was born with the gifts of clairvoyance and clairaudient. I have been a professional medium for 40 plus years. I do private readings for families wishing to contact departed love ones. I have also been on many investigations as a guest medium, plus we have a yearly seance on New Year's Eve for 9 mediums.

I am here to enjoy good discussions, answer questions and even ask some. Most importantly to meet old friends and make new ones who are interested in the paranormal.

I live in NC with a husband that is a skeptic and a very old shih tzu, she is being a Sage She senses spirits sometimes before I do. I have a resident spirit who has been with me since the 1960s.

Looking forward to good discussions.

Hello Everyone

Thank you all for the warm welcomes! Sorry I haven't logged on in the past few days, i have sick kiddos home from school and I have not been a happy camper. They are all well now, kind of. Smile
I am very happy to meet you all.

After reading "ya'lls" posts, I am left to wonder, Am I the only one that does not have any psychic ability on the boards? I am truly fascinated by the ones that do have this remarkable gift.

I have had some odd things that I cannot truly explain, perhaps some sort of psychic ability, I am not sure.

For example, I know this is just weird or may not have any correlation what so ever, but when I was younger and still to this day (now that I'm aware of what's happening) I would dream the night before of Tornadoes and the extent of damage they would do to a community. Now where I live or lived we don't have tornadoes. But I would dream of Tornadoes and the next morning I would turn on the news to learn that a Tornado(s) had touched down in some town that I didn't know of but dreamed of. I'm not sure what this means, but I have lots of crazy dreams like this. boring, I know, just don't know what all this means. there's more to it, but i just can't put into words what I'm trying to express.

I have lots of questions and am just happy to be here.

Cheers you guys!

Welcome!

glad to hear they're doing better. I have two small ones myself and it almost seems like you can't ever get everything done when you've gotta tend to sick ones.

The dreams you're mentioning are a form of a psychic ability. Called precognative dreams. I have those also. Basically you can foresee the future while asleep.

Sc had a good list of various types of psychic abilities. Maybe she's got the link still. If so, you might want to check it out Smile

Hello all; so glad to see everyone who has posted and shared their information. It's good to see the familiar members and also meet any new members.

I'm Paula, just turned 1/2 century this past June. Wasn't blessed with children of my own, but have 3 nephews, 2 in Dallas, TX and 1 here. I have 2 cats which I refer to as my "children in fur coats." I do have some esp abilities, although sometimes with me it's extra silly personality. jocolor

I've been interested in the paranormal for most of my life and believe all things are possible. I've had some experiences with premonition dreaming and interacting with loved ones in dreams. I would enjoy being able to see a ghost some day and have been to some known haunted places in my travels. I love to read, watch good movies/tv, collecting thimbles from my travels, and needlepoint. I've lived in the suburbs of St. Louis, Mo most of my life, have moved away several times, but The Good Lord always brings me back!

I'm so thankful that we've been able to keep some of the former GA message board together as there's a lot of good knowledge to be learned. Also very thankful to be invited to such a terrific board, troll free!

lol!

On a side note, I noticed that most of you ladies here on the board who have children all have 4 each. Sorry, I'm too detail-oriented sometimes!

Welcome to the forums casper and cat Smile

Your message came through fine cat. Make sure you're logged in when you try to post. You can view the messages when you're not logged in so that might have been where the confusion was.

I like the extra silly personality bit..that's classic. Might have to steal that from ya sometime cheers

I've not got 4 kids..maybe someday but glad not now lol. 2 is enough for me atm Smile

Hello. My name is Amanda and I am 35 years old. I am glad that this site was made known to me. I look forward to sharing experiences and learning of others' points of view. I haven't studied various cultural beliefs on the paranormal, but I am looking forward to learning. I am a spiritual person that truly believes in the connection of all things. I don't go for organized religion, though each has something to offer. Everyone has their own path to walk in this life and they should take the map that they can read to get them where they need to go.

I have premonitions and bouts of strong intuition and insight, they happen whenever they want to. As a young child I played with colors, a mass of color bands that I would make shapes out of like play-doh. I soon learned that my friends didn't know what I meant when I asked if they wanted to play the color game. As I got older I saw it less and less, though it has made an appearance in a startling way that brought me comfort in a moment of terror- affraid

Also as a young child I would often leave my body and fly away, I called it my "body vibe thing". It happened often when I was young. Now, it only happens a couple of times a year.
I have grown up accepting these things as normal. But there have been some strange encounters I've had over the past few years that just have me shaking my head. I think I have seen "spirits" . Disturbing.

I am my own worst skeptic. You know the saying "You have to see it to believe it", well, I see it and still don't believe it. Even though I have had it proven (to myself) over and over, I just can't believe it . My main goal is to learn about the visitations I have while lucid dreaming. It is more than hypnagogia, I receive messages from a "spirit" and then it happens. I want to understand.

Welcome AmerahjKitahn. If you want to learn and understand, you have come to the right place for sure. Being a skeptic is good thing. It took me a while to accept the fact that I was seeing shadows and "hearing" spirits. The communicating part is new to me, but I did it when I was little. It is very exciting to me.

Learning is a wonderful and powerful gift. Don't be afraid to ask questions and give us input. I ask hundreds of questions - asking has helped me sort out my new found abilities. There are quite a few experienced mediums here, I think you will like us! Glad to meet you Amanda. The board is very slow right now, but there are a few of us that check in regularly.

Welcome Amanda!

It's great to meet you. I am Topper, one of the moderators. The other is Rattissia who is currently busy with finals.

We're so glad you joined us and we're very interested in hearing of your experiences. Here we learn form each other. No experience is more important than the other. We hope to help all as we help ourselves in our journey while embrassing our gifts.

Please don't be discouraged if you find this group not very active at this time. It's purely a seasonal thing and will soon pick up again.

I, myself have been busy dealing with issues surrounding a dream I had three years ago that became fact last month. I'm still in shock over it but must finish before I can return to all on a more active level.

I will take this moment to say that I've missed all on this group and my thoughts have been with them (and now you, Amanda) every day while I'm away.

I need to close this now but please accept our warmest welcome.

Topper
